1954 was not an easy time for a Korean family. The Korean war had only been over for a short time when this picture was taken. The Koreans endured that terrible experience but their resilience came to the forefront quickly.

On many occasions you will find my Wife and I scouring the Northwest looking for the opportunity to photograph what, to us, glorifies what God has presented to us for our enjoyment. The ever present beauty that is available. Now that we are well into our ‘Golden’ years, it seems that we are more aware of the beauty that exists. The young must slow down, look around, and find blessings that exist all around them.
