Asunder parts the blue-green fog of night… long white glorious wings… glide through the wispy veil … warm spring whispering winds… do swirl about the drifting mist… as if tiny ethereal fairies… twisting off to flight… away from each and every glistening wingtip… slowly ever downward he soars… drawing closer to their secret lakeside rendezvous… the uppermost dogwoods do bow at his passing… as he descends upon his silent quest… to the perfect starlit sparkling waters… his regal form glides cross the koi pond lovely… announcing his arrival most grand… nature turns… pauses… and takes an excited breath… his blue ripples do summon… submerged onlookers to rise and behold… he slowly searches through the lover’s mist… for his beautiful mate… adorned in jewels of dew kissed glimmer… into the moonbeams she doth shimmer… the two circled one another…then wove their long necks into a gentle embrace… then drifted off… into the quiet blanket of fog together.
