For all those who have ever enjoyed the BLUES…the very soul of my home town of Memphis Tennessee…I spent about a million hours (maybe a few less?) shooting and then creating this piece. My amazing son Matthew is the cool dude with the ponytail jammin’ out and popping up from the word MEMPHIS… and yes he has played on Beale Street more than once.
This is only the first of such compilations…because there are just tooooooooo many cool spots on Beale Street…so keep your eyes open for more…and come on down to Memphis and party out a loooooonnnnnng night of classic southern food, fun, and music. LONG LIVE THE BLUES!!!
I just spent my sister Cathy’s 50th Birthday at BB Kings a few days ago where I danced like a crazy 70’s leftover…and may I say…I “represented” all of us old cats pretty dang well! HAHAHAHA!!!! I can still shake what I got!
Hope you like this piece…by the way my younger brother MEMPHIS JOE is also hidden in this image too…he lives in Brisbane Australia so all my pals from OZ…you should go see him perform down under. He is a wonderful ambassador for the Memphis Blues!

MEMPHIS JOE is the guitar player between RUM BOOGIE CAFE and the BB KING’S signs.
WOW!! A LOT of work went into this! amazing piece Dale!!
Thanks for taking a look V…yep this one was a LOT of work alright :)
Beale street is one of my favorite places in my home town. To see my son grow up and play there was soooo surreal too!

Thank You for “drooling” HAHAHA!
Beale Street is a true treasure that I try to enjoy as often as I can…BB King’s place always has some awesome live shows EVERY NIGHT!!! Chompin’ on some ribs and diggin’ on some blues at the same time…I reckon it might just be illegal in some places…but NOT in MEMPHIS!!!
It sure is great to know the love of the Blues is still alive and well in the UK and beyond. You know without the blues there never would have been the great Eric Clapton…and Led Zeppelin was all blues at first “BRING IT ON HOME” is as great a piece of southern blues as anything! Thanks for being a fan Annie…I will be creating more blues images…BLUES TIP OF THE DAY…go and Youtube Preston Shannon and enjoy his music…just saw him at BB’s a few days back…and find my next door neighbor Patrick Dodd…that guy is fantastic!!!
