I sought to capture the very essence and soul of my home town of Memphis Tennessee in this new collage of my original photos. I am living there again and have been seeking to make creative and positive change through my art…it is working. The Mighty Mississippi River churns her way past Memphis and her muddy history is as rich as the soulish music she has brought forth. This piece embodies that resilient spirit of the past as the cotton pickers of old held onto their joyous dance and song in spite of the travesties against humanity they endured. I hope this work will enrich your heart and home and help you and yours to bring about a better humanity; as we trudge away from the past and begin a new future for America and the World.
