Nice clarity. I like how I can see the ripples in the water.

  • I have friends who grew up about 100 yards from this spot. We used to tear through here as kids all the time.

Looks like a fun place to grow up. I would love to have grown up in the country with creeks to play in and woods to explore.

  • We had a blast. Where did you grow up??

I grew up in East Central Illinois. Its a fairly rural community. When I was growing up, I was outside every chance I got, even in the winter snow. Back then we used our imaginations to play with and we had so much more fun. I think kids today are missing out on a lot of fun to be had because they are so sedentary. The town I lived in was only around 30,000 and that included the college students. I hated living in a college town. So now I am missing the changing seasons. But I don’t think I will miss the winter chill and gloom.
