1998 Rumors of Y2K and a coming demi-urge by

This drawing was done in 1998. There was talk of Y2K back then. The essay predicts it would be miraculously repaired, and it did turn out to be anti-climactic. The serpent with the lion head is the ancient gnostic demi-urge named Yaldabaoth. He is recognized as the god of this world, and Jehovah by members of the Secret Gathering of Gnostics however, they do not worship this god because he is the demi-urge created below the abyss by the goddess Sophia above the abyss. The figures in the corners are the images of the cheribim who surround the thrown of god as well as the fixed signs of the zodiac that surround Earth and the Sun.

The Secret Gathering of Gnostics features these pen and ink drawings by Davol White each year.
