PAIN AND TIME

Pain what is it?
Is it pain to bring a new life into the world?
Is it pain when we lose some one?
Or is it pain when we get hurt in other ways.

So many different types of pain
So many ways to deal with it,
So many expressions and feelings to go through
But why I ask?
Why do we need to experience this
Thing we all know as pain?.

I know it’s not always for sad reasons
That we go through it,
Some times we endure such pain
For happiness.

Are we all strong enough for all
The different strengths of pain
That life will bring us?.

I don’t know
As we are all
Very different.

But time is the essence of
Our life
And in time I am told
The pain will shift,
Good or bad.

I am strong like you
And every one
We can all get
Through pain together
With each other
In time.

Thank you kindly for taking the time to read this and comment on it, this poem is the world to me and one of my strengths right now due to what I am going through and it involves a lot of pain and frustration and anger.
It is also very dear to me because I wrote it for my grandfather whom has passed away and he ment the world to me as well

thats lovely AM. Pain is just a moment in time which shifts, usually carrying a message, and through all our endurance, at the end, their is a message of hope…....... tina

You hit the nail on the head. However, many times we forget the simple pleasure of being pain-free, and that is a joy in itself. :)

That is beautiful Anne-Marie. Thank you for sharing it and make sure you continue to enjoy the wonderful memories you have of your grandfather.
I thought you might like this – When God takes something from your grasp, He’s not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something else.

    Hey dairygirl,

That poem is beautiful, it paints a picture of people’s lives. Lives lived in the seclusion of their homes, rooms, lives filled with unending pain, in some shape or form. The one thing that counters this, is 1. that God never gives us something he knows we can’t handle, and 2. That God promises that He will never leave, nor forsake us. I lost my grandmother, over this past holiday season, and that promise was the only thing that kept me going. I hope it does the same for you.
