I come from a creative family who loves art, photography, music and random hiking adventures. My family helped me to develop a love for nature and artistic expression early on. I enjoy working with a variety of mediums but the common thread in my work is graphic shapes, bold colors and whimsical style. I been told that I have a quirky sense of humor and that sometimes sneaks into my work, intentionally or not.
I also love making detailed magazine collages. Each collage is created using recycled hand cut or torn paper. I approach each collage as if it were a painting and although the paper takes the place of paint, the process is similar. It’s an art-form that requires a lot of time and patience but I love this unusual way of creating. I like to call it artistic recycling, saving the planet in my own crazy way. Thank you for visiting my gallery!
