An illustration of my Boxer Paco’s personality. We’ve had a fun but insanely chaotic time becoming best friends. Never a dull moment! Colored pencil on paper.
Some interesting aspects of the boxer’s personality below.
The boxer is the clown of the dog world, they can be playful, stubborn, goofy, courageous, protective and as I said, clownish. Mix all that together with very high intelligence and you have one unique dog personality!
If you let them get bored they will sprint through your house, bounce off your walls, tear up your furniture eat your expensive sneakers and anything else you might leave on the floor. Be forewarned, they need a lot of exercise and chew toys are a must! They can be trained of course but you will need to be patient with them because boxer’s are naturally stubborn dogs. They might not agree with your house rules at first, but be firm loving and consistent and they will become your best friend! Mine is also highly motivated by food so that is always a great training tool. (This is from my personal experience, I am in no way a professional dog trainer).
