The blue “American Jobs Act” portion of this image was the poster design submitted to a contest held by the primary reelection organization for President Obama. My design didn’t place, yet they encouraged everyone who submitted art to put it ‘out-there’! So, here it is.
I’m fully aware that there may be RB members and visitors who may not be supporters of Obama’s view of the world or his resulting policies toward governance. Yet, I attempted to express a concept artistically, and IF you wish to comment I hope that you can restrain yourself to opinions about the design and artistic merit.
The grocery bag came back to the US via a Peace Corp. volunteer returning from Kenya in 2009. He explained that the people of Kenya were so excited about Obama’s election that they produced many everyday items with his image on them. This bag, which our friend gave to us as a gift, is an example of these products.
