Pancho Villa rides through Tucson by

This statue of Pancho Villa sits in the center of a downtown park in Tucson, Arizona. For some reason it has been a controversial piece of public art ever since it was placed there years ago.
I imagine that in the political climate of Arizona in 2010 with their legislatures’ even more controversial immigration bill 1070 good ole Pancho will be even more of a threat. Imagine asking this armed desperado for his official papers to be where he is?

Photo taken with my Canon Digital ELPH point and shoot camera camera. Background changes experimentally made in PSE.

I am happy and re-wired (since I retired) and carry my digital point and shoot camera on most adventures I head out my door to engage the world. I lived in Tucson, Arizona and now live on the beach in Thailand.
This Red Bubble site is for showing some of the photos that I find interesting or fit a particular group inspired agenda. That’s how I’m learning to ‘have a better eye’ since joining RB in 2009.

    nice capture!

  • Thank you… poor Pancho can get lost in the busy little park… shooting him without all the usual downtown distractions was not possible… so Photoshop came to the rescue.
