Last night (26/6/2010) we experienced a partial lunar eclipse, and here it is from start (on the right) to peak (on the left).
Shot from my veranda at Cedar Creek (just outside Brisbane to the NW).

this is fantastic ! :)
:) i saw it too – but only got a couple of shots
I wanted the full cycle but the clouds came over just after the peak.

Cool I took some too David it was enjoyable and fascinating to watch I have not looked as yet at my images but will shortly. I had a bit more cloud but it did break
The breaks in the clouds were quite fortuitous for me Kym. There’s something about astronomical events that seem to attract clouds in Australia!
Thanks – I find it’s always best to try to tell the story with these types of events.
Very well done!
’twas pretty cool to watch – figuratively and literally ;-)
Seems to always happen I remember getting up at 3.00am to see a meteor shower event arrived at Mt Cootha only to find 3000 other people and heavy clouds. When Mcnaughts comet was about a couple o years ago I was at the farm spectacular view of the comet and tail and no camera……..LOL
McNaughts had me out for a couple of nights running and only got one decent view of it (mind you, that photo is hanging on the wall above my desk).
