Wow, it’s amazing how much the native ducks differ from my khaki campbells and indian runner! Their bills are so much smaller and dainty.

Well the wood duck is a bit of an odd one anyway. They don’t quack, but rather whistle of sorts, and as you’ve noted, their bills are pointy.
The Pacific Black Duck (the other common native duck around here) is more like an ordinary duck in that it has a proper duck bill and it quacks.
Both are cute though.
