The food line
Rainbow Lorikeets are quite amusing to watch. They organise themselves into a line awaiting a turn at the bird feeder. As one bird leaves the feeder, the next in line hops up and has a feed.
The food line belongs to the following groups:
Brisbane ~ South East QLD and QueenslandAvailable for sale as Cards, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints and Canvas Prints

Great stuff! Lorikeets make such good subjects :)

Interesting approach to the way you have focussed this image.

Indeed they do – if they’d only sit still for a titch longer ;-)

Thanks, I’m a big fan of narrow depth of field where appropriate. A line of birds all in focus is nowhere near as interesting, visually, as just one bird pulled out of the bunch, in my opinion anyway.

What a great photo Dave! I really like this and how organised – taking turns.

Thanks Michelle :)
Yeah they’re funny birds. What’s quite amusing is when a couple jump the queue and they all start squawking like mad.
