Location: Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso, Ceresole Reale, Italia
Taken on a recent trip to Italy. The mist was descending fast and a quick clamber down some rocks gave me the composition I was after. Had I taken the time to really examine how to get to my vantage point – and watched my husband follow the pathway down – I wouldn’t have been covered in the moss and mud that I was…but it was worth it.

Thank you – I long for it too, even though it’s not even been a month since we’ve been back from our holiday, it already feels like a lifetime since we were there…
Adriana well photographed, starting at the top the eyes are drawn down into the mist then drawn further into the water to follow the stream as it flows. I then go back to the top to have another look while enjoying the view.
Thank you so much Ian, and so lovely to hear from you. I appreciate your feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed this view. :-)
Fabulous shot Adriana, what really makes this one stick out of the crowd of thumbs is it’s mood. Love it.
Thank you Peter, so glad I’ve been able to convey a mood of sorts in this image, as it’s with lots of joy as well as melancholy that I feel whenever I view this photograph.

No, not deep in this section, maybe knee deep I would say, but it was icy…brrrr! And slippery…
