    It’s up to you Silvia. If it’s on your profile page, then it will be your profile page that is linked. If it’s part of your image description, then it will be the image that is linked. While it’s tedious to add it to each of your images, at least it’s the images that are linked. I hope this helps. :)

    Ok, Rosemary, here’s the code, complete with spaces – so get rid of the spaces and simply copy and paste the code onto your profile and/or image page/s:

    I have a “Share/Save” button from http://www.addtoany.com/share_save but have used addthis on other projects – they seem like the same thing, different companies.

    Hey, no problems Kerrie – it’s a bit of a job to add to each one, but if you get into the habit of adding each time you upload you won’t even notice the extra step :)

    It might be useful to ad an addthis button to each piece’s page, not just one’s landing page here. OTOH that is just a bit more clutter, on a site that already provides bookmarking [favoritings and watchlisting] for users.

    Addthis lets you track numbers… BUT you have to sign up and get a unique ID. I don’t know yet if that will work with the basic link/image combo [they use a callout to a javascript on their site, which we can’t code into our RB pages].

    Well, I would recommend the AddThis button be used on each page, as the favourite/watchlisting is only available to RB members. Having the AddThis button means that non-members can also bookmark images they like and revisit for future purchases…
    Tracking the numbers, yes that would be great, and you’re right about the RB code, it doesn’t allow for it. :( Maybe sometime down the track in a future RB update, those sorts of additions can be allowed for…

    Agreed: a share/addthis button on every page—many people do track their bookmarks entirely online.
    I have a mapLoco image on my page that gets updated on their end – so its just an image with some sort of id on it, and they do the rest. Would have to research if addthis can do the same, and then check reporting through account on addthis.

    I think you should see a change in the stats, although I am finding different results for different images as well as the different bookmarking sites that can be used. It’s difficult to know which images are going to see huge spikes in the number of people viewing those images.

    Hmmm, I wish I had a complete answer for you. I tend to add images, blogs etc to a few different bookmarking sites, and there really isn’t one that is better than the other. I notice some images receive huge spikes in their views, while others don’t – there doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to it. The main thing is to promote works out of RB if we want to draw attention to the wonderful art that is found on the RB site. :)
