when the fear is gone, there will be nothing

when the fear is gone, there will be nothing

A collaboration between Leah Highland and myself. I asked for collaboration with an image of scary (well, to me anyway) trees that i’ve been watching grow over the last several years. Perhaps it’s my overactive imagination, and having read “Day of the Triffids” at an impressionable age, but I find this ‘forest’ of trees to be completely scary and cannot believe they’ve been purposely planted into the neat and many rows they have. Not having any experience when it came to stock imagery, Leah came to the rescue and created the image I see when I vist that area. I don’t know why others don’t see it this way – or maybe they do…

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
