Is RB for me?

So I’ve uploaded many pictures and commented on even more. I join groups and add pictures there too but I wonder. Is RB for me? I came into this hoping to start my career in selling photographs, but have only sold 2 pieces. How many years do I have to be here before I sell enough that RB sends me my $$?
This is turning out to be something I didn’t invision, and so my search for the right site or how to create my own site is on….
Thank you to all those who favorite and comment on my work as well as those who just browse my gallery. It’s a great encouragement to me to keep on snapping.

i think the same thing about selling the images ive only had one sale, but then i think about the encrourahement im getting and the comments im getting and they give me a boost to go out there and get more images.im not to sure what other sites are good but there are loads of photography shareing sites out there.

Stick with it Crystal. I haven’t had any sales yet but love the feedback and comments from others plus seeing the works by other photographers. Inspires me to do better.

I don`t think you can just do it from here. You need to find other avenues to sell your work whether it be hanging your art in a gallery in your area. That is what I do. And I have sold more there then here. Who buys here are mostly other artists I find. If you love what you do then stick with it. Don`t give up. ...Deb

I agree with Deb about having additional avenues of selling your artwork. The people on RedBubble are wonderful about encouraging and helping you improve your work, but the sales do seem far and few between. Don’t give up, Crystal! You are a very talented artist!

Crystal, I think this is one of many pathes…. I think it’s great for encouragement and critiques etc.. And the quality of the print is amazing from what you’ve shown me. I think you need to order prints in certain styles from here to show at things like, ie: getting a booth at sunflower festival etc.. Renting a space in the mall etc.. It won’t be cheap but to get what you want out of this might mean spending lots in order to get something back in the end.

Ive gotten many sales but most have been from friends and family who request certain shots and this is my way of getting excellent quality cards and prints that they can buy. I have also created business cards and that have the website on it so when I meet people and tell them I do photography I invite them to check out the site. This way they can see what I do and order if they want! My grandma and one of my mom’s friends are my biggest buyers and I have had others buy stuff from when I have handed out my card! I also get such great encouragement from the people here who keep me uplifted even when I feel down about a photo….so keep up the great work…and if another site is better for you then more power to you! I have recently printed business cards with this site on them…I just need to get them handed out. And yes, the comments here are very encouraging. I’ve looked for another site and everything else is just going to cost me a lot of money to set up…so I’ll be staying here after all…..
