On a beautiful October day I was able to get to Fowey and spend the day taking some photographs of this popular working port on the south coast of Cornwall. My day started out at 07:10 as I had wanted to get to Fowey and start taking some photographs looking down the river from Bodinnick on the other side of Fowey. It was crucial to get there early as I needed the sun to be in the right position for the shots I had planned to get. This particular photograph below was taken later on in the afternoon at 14:21 on 16th October 2010 once the sun had moved into a position behind me. I got the ferry from Fowey across to Polruan and walked up the fairly steep hill to get into a position where I was able to get this photograph overlooking the Fowey Estuary onwards towards the town of Fowey itself.
