Auto Train at Lorton Station

The Auto Train runs non-stop between Lorton, VA and Sanford, FL carrying passengers and their vehicles. It’s a great way to travel the east coast of the U.S. and you have your car when you arrive instead of getting a rental.

The dining cars (one for coach passengers and one for sleeper car) serves a great evening meal with a wine carafe at each table. A continental breakfast just before arrival at the station starts the new day.

The Auto Train is also billed as the longest passenger train in the world, as it averages three quarters of a mile long.
