I have to ask…is that the true colors of the bridge?
It’s a cool shot and the bridge looks a bit like a toy lego set.

  • Cvail73 replied

It is the true colours of the bridge yes :)
    Thanks :) I love legos ;)

All the bolts assure me this bridge is British made…...lol – I Iove the geometry and the colors, as well as the process of discovery (details!)

  • Cvail73 replied

They have done a good job repainting the bridge I’d say :))

Nice composition, I like the contrast between the hard geometry of the bridge contrasted with the lamp. Judging by your photos Manchester looks like a pretty progressive city, it’s a pity more places don’t try and brighten up their older bridges etc.

    Thanks Hugh! :)
I love Manchester for its Industrial Legacy, and for the innovative and modern regeneration that has taken place. I put it down to the fact that Mancunians love their city, and are rather dynamic too:) The regeneration started after an IRA bomb that exploded in 1996 in the ugliest part of the city (no one was hurt). People say here that it’s the best thing that happened to the city, from then on, Manchester has put its heart at growing up and becoming beautiful! :)

You could be right, sometimes it takes something like a bombing to make people more appreciative of what they have.
