“I keep having this dream, about God and the Devil meeting on an empty battlefield. They shake hands and look around, and there are these collapsing fires in the distance, but no ground to stand on. They say nothing for a while. Then one of them, or both – the sound is thunderous, speaks, and a number comes out. But I can’t hear it – it’s too loud or too quiet I can’t tell. And, still, I have this feeling that they’re… that they’re counting souls, like, like it’s a game of fucking Mikado. And then, right before I wake up, I see them laughing, and everything turns black. But it’s not the end of the dream; it’s the universe collapsing. Everything starting over. A re-match.”
“And this scares you?”
“No. What scares me is that I wake up grinning.”

okay I must admit, this made me grin as well :)))) great thought process/dream and awesome Qs. :)
I’m pleased you found it a little amusing! That was part of the point :D
Thank you!

some very interesting concepts here
I’m glad you think so too. They’re issues and questions I’ve thought about for a while now (and will continue to ponder). Very interesting indeed.

This was “refreshing” to read. I wrote something like this. In fact, after reading this I thought of publishing it here on the bubble.
I thought it was funny you asking “can you sell them?” I think this shows just how much we don’t know so maybe “they” could sell them or use them like chips in the game you so elegantly described
I’m curious tho as to why the speaker grins
You should publish it! do it do it! :D
Yes! It suddenly hit me how this is something we don’t really ask ourselves that much. We have many, excellent theories about where our souls might end up, but not a whole lot about why our souls go there, or what exactly a soul does at all.
Well, perhaps the speaker subconsciously finds the whole thing as endlessly amusing as I do ;)
