A stranger walks the night
Who wants to fight
To find
Who doesn’t mind
Who likes to spy
Or likes to see you cry
A stranger walks the night
Because he has to be right
To find the prey
To torment the mind
So he is not kind
To whisper in the wind
That whispers in your ear
He places the fear
His grip so cold
You feel so old
How can you run
Because this is no fun
He has you in his power
You want to cower
He lingers around
Just to put you down
During the day
You’re still his prey
You put him out of your mind
He’ll find you
You’re stuck like glue
Whispering into the wind
Once again
He appears out of nowhere
A stranger who walks the night
Who still looks for the light
He creeps in your life
And it feels like a stabbing knife
Your mind becomes a fog
Your body becomes heavy as a log
You want this Stranger gone
But that won’t last for long
Remember he remains in your mind
And you’ll never leave him behind
Ask why..
And he’ll make you cry
Run
And he’ll be there having his fun
Causing pain
For his gain
He creeps
In your sleep
You can’t run you can’t hide
Because he is inside
You scream and want him to leave
To your disbelief
He is here to stay
And won’t go away
How can you live each day
In this dismay
How can you go on
And look beyond
When this stranger runs the night
You put up a fight
And keep searching for the light
How do you put aside
This stranger’s pride
You feel sad
And it makes you mad
How can you be happy
And not sappy
What will become of the light
When you can’t see in the night
When the Stranger
Turns into danger.
