A view seldom noticed, of the inside of a hydrangea.
australia, blue, flower, grow, hydrangea, landscapephotocomp, macro, natural, nature, petal, plant, purple, stamen
I like the muted hues of the purples and blues particularly how they contrast the B&W pollen caps on the end of the stamen.
my gosh, BEAUTIFUL! it belongs in a fantasy world
Great Macro shot… well done.
Thanks for the comments!
I should have mentioned that none of my pictures have had any manipulation at all. All the colours are completely natural, and there’s still specks of dust and so on on the flowers – all shots were taken out in the field, right where the plant was growing, under natural light, so each image will have a different ‘feel’ to others.

I do like this one the best, it looks cool, like it was a cloudy, cold day when you took it … (don’t tell me you took it in the Brisbane summer heat and spoil it for me!)
Hayley, the picture was taken on a sunny day, but late in the afternoon. It was getting a bit dull so most of the other pictures I took around the same time had to much movement in them (what I get for leaving my tripod at home). It was taken here in Tas, not Brisbane, so don’t despair!
Also, funny you mention this is your favourite – this is usually the first picture of mine that people are drawn to – any ideas why?
Oh, wow, I am in love with this.
Thanks for the comments Helene & Lelia :) Glad you like it! I currently have a version of this image printed and stretched on canvas – looks superb! Am happy to part with it, too…
