Waiting to meet my reason.

When things don’t go your way,…. there is a reason.
When you have to question why,…. there is a reason.
When you wander alone asking questions,…. there is a reason.
I am still waiting to meet my reason.
When you are alone in the dark,…. there is a reason.
When you think that nobody loves you,…. there is a reason.
When the world is going mad, and you feel totally cut off, ….
there is a reason.
I am still waiting to meet my reason.
When you feel depressed and there is nowhere to turn,…. there is a reason.
When you want to close down and you ask yourself why,….
there is a reason.
When you are face to face with change, and you do or say nothing, ….
there is a reason.
I am still waiting to meet my reason.
Everything has a reason.
Everything has a time.
Show me a reason and I’ll soon show you a rhyme. ( from “Pippin” )
Everyone has a season.
I am now looking for my corner of the sky.

I wrote this as I was reminiscing about my life.
But after I had finished writing this verse, something tweaked in my memory, and the words of a favourite song came flooding into my brain.
The song is “Corner of the sky” from the musical “Pippin”.
I have now reached a place in my life, where I can truly understand Pippin, and know what he is saying….. It has all come together with time. ?
( but it has taken heart surgery to make me realise all of what I am saying. )

I live at Riddells Creek in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria, and have been involved in Horticulture all my life.
I play Blues Harmonica and Bodhran’ in my spare time, as well as getting involved with Genealogy and Medieval History,
I have also been acting for 40 years and was lucky to be cast as a judge in the movie “Stricly Ballroon”…
But my camera is my passion.

very thought provoking, hope all is well with you xx

  • Thanks Lynn.
Because of my heart surgery, I am now looking at things a lot differently than the way I have throughout my last 66 years, and finding answers to a lot of questions.
If you have’t seen the musical “Pippin” then do so, and you may also find an answer to some questions.
I now know why I have loved that show so much..!!.
Also, I think when we get to a certain age in this life, certain things seem to fall into place…!

I have always known that there is time and reason for everything but sometimes it is very difficult for us to accept that – take life gently my friend and keep on looking for your corner of sky x
  • Whether it’s the sky or the ocean, we all have that little space just waiting for us to find.
I do hope I find my space eventually.
    Thank you dear friend.
