This was one of many images that I took inside Lewes Castle in Lewes on the South Coast of England this year ( 2012 )
This was looking back at one of the windows whilst going up the spiral stairway inside the tower.
The castle, built in 1069 on a mound of chalk blocks and was built by William de Warenne, 1st Earl of Surrey, and the brother-in-law of William the Conqueror.
I hope you can get a feel of this wonderful attraction.

Beautifully presented Larry, what a wonderful place for a visit. Shirley

  • Whenever I visit places like this, I always try to find something different, as they can soon
    become all the same…?

Hi Larry – The perspective inwhich you took this fantastic photograph is amazing. That window, the spiral staircase, the arc of the railing (I’m sure William would have loved to have that railing way back when), that wonderful stone texture… it all makes an incredible photographic work. You’re a great photographer and this is just another example that proclaims it.

  • Thank’s so much Roger.
Those are truly words of high praise….I will accept them, but I don’t deserve them.
I like many others on RB are just trying to capture the moment as we see it.
Without the money to buy the proper equipment or to go to school to study the profession we are addicted in, people like me rely on people like you to give there opinions so we can learn what we are doing wrong.
I thank you for your kind words of encouragement….. They go a long way.
    ………………The Banner is a real bonus………………..
