Built in the 1600’s by Patrick Stewart, Earl of Orkney and Lord of Shetland, this magnificent castle was his principal residence in the Shetlands.
Located in Scalloway on the Western Coast of Mainland in the Shetland Islands Northern Scotland, this castle is a must see.

    And it was right beside the “Drydock” in the Scalloway Harbour… Best of both worlds…

    Looks similar to the castle ruins I saw in Lerwick. Great shot, Larry…especially like that low cloud bank behind the castle.
