This is part of an ongoing set of Bayeux in Normandy France which I took last .Sept…2011.
Located in one of the most photogenic towns in France, Bayeax is living history, and this cathedral was part of the icing on the cake.
I have been lucky enough to trace my family tree all the way back to 1044AD and Alurid deValer who fought with William in the Norman Conquest, and as such I was heading for the Tapestry.

The present cathedral was consecrated on 14 July 1077 in the presence of William, Duke of Normandy and King of England. It was here that William forced Harold Godwinson to take the oath, the breaking of which led to the Norman conquest of England.
Taken with a Lumix G2 using a 35mm standard Four Thirds lens and a touch of hdr. ( x2 ).
