The Templars ( 8 ) by

This is part of an ongoing series on the Temple Church which is located just down from the Law Courts in London off Temple Lane.
Built for and by the Knights Templar as their English headquarters in the late-12th-century, this is a must see for anyone visiting London as it is also just one of a few round churches.
You may remember seeing this church in the movie “The De Vinci Code” as it was one of the main location’s in the movie.
This image shows how the effigies in the foreground were laid out on the floor.
As I have a passion for The Crusades and Medieval History, I hope you enjoy this ongoing series.
