This is a small part of the surrounding view of the Singapore Harbour. The Entertainment Centre ( or Bug’s Eye’s ) opposite the Marina Bay Sands stands out from whichever way you look. Click on to enlarge or to appreciate the detail.

Singapore to me looks very futuristic!!! Great shot!
It can be that if you want it to be, as the architecture is far more advanced than just the traditional style. The Govn’t are willing to be more adventurous, as you will see with my next batch of uploads.
Great shot! Last time I was here, I was under those arches with my carry on, keeping out of the lightning on a layover, did not get back there when I had a week as was too ill… I was looking across at the construction… anyway this photo makes me happy :-) Thanks! :-P

We were like you … When we first saw it in 2007 it was just beginning the construction and then when we were there in Oct 2011 it was finished. They said it would take 3 years but it was held up for a few months and they still completed it in 3 years… Mind blowing. My next couple of images will show the new development that’s being built next door.
I am absolutely terrified of them! I had to walk past them to go to the bathroom and was paranoid that the door would open and they would come through lol… Needless to say that is also an area on Sentosa that I avoid ;-) I would not stay on the Island again… while the hotel is fantastic it IS noisier now that they have regenerated the beaches and my favourite things, jungle trail, monorail round the island with a book and so on, a couple of small stores and the coastal walk back to the old visitors centre…. oh and the old visitors centre…. have all gone. Still it was nice to be a little relaxed until they rebuild my other “usual” hotel which has been closed for 5 years now. :-P

Fabulous place Larry…I am saving up to go back maybe next year…definitely looks like a Bugs eye.
Well if you are going back, don’t forget to look in at the Butterfly House in the waiting area of Changi Airport.. You will love it.

Complex but interesting
It was the lines and surface’s that attracted me.
