This is the 2nd image in an ongoing update of graffiti in and around Melbourne. This young guy from Perth had just finished this piece and was signing it. ( Taken in the small lane that branches off Hosier Lane.) I would love to see where this guys talent will end up in 10 years.? I just love documenting and promoting this sort of art which I believe will be the art of the future. Where-ever possible all sales of these images will be passed on to the artists in question or to the area management to give the artists more scope. Click on image to enlarge and to appreciate the detail.
All images taken with a Lumix G2 using a standard 35mm four Thirds lens with a touch of hdr and cropping done with Picasa3.
Congrats on your feature Larry I love the fact you have the artist in there most of the time we only ever see the art not the artist there kind of like mythical creatures who make art appear lol. Did he mind you taking his photo :))
As a matter of fact no he didn’t. I said if I sell any I would sent him the money and I gave him the RB site so he could see his work. He thought that was fantastic as he didn’t have a camera to take a shot of his work. . Come Monday Jan 9 I am going to get some images of a brand new work done by the artist who did the images in my collage, “Graffiti in Brunswick ( 3 )” so stay tuned.

A good capture Larry, not my style but I can appreciate the talent behind it
It’s the talent more than the creation.

The colors are beautiful. This little guy isn’t as good as some you have shown us. He doesn’t look very old either.
early twenties I think…
It was just the vibrancy that attracted me to this one. But each person sees things differently.

Looks like you had a ball yesterday Larry, like the artist in action
After we left the city we caught the tram down to Acland Street St.Kilda for more graffiti…
And yes, we had a fantastic time…
