I took this of the ANZ Bank Chambers whilst I was walking throughout the streets in Christchurch NZ.
As you know, because of the 2011 earthquake a lot of this area was destroyed. What can I say…?
This information was from Warren Dawson…
quote:.. “This building was destroyed completely in the first few seconds of the 6.3 aftershock. The dome was lying in the street.”
( all proceeds are donated to the Christchurch Appeal )

Taken with a panasonic Lumix FZ30 with a touch of HDR.

With compliments from Warren Dawson.
At the end of this video prepare yourself for what is no longer of the above image.

Such sadness to look at this lovely shot now Larry- good on you my friend for donating!

  • If I could afford it I would be donating hundreds, but one only has enough money to do certain things, so I hope I sell a few extra.

Beautiful Larry, better than mine. This building was destroyed completely in the first few seconds of the 6.3 aftershock. The dome was lying in the street.

  • I wouldn’t say better than your’s, because your’s is from a totally different angle and has a different perspective.
Well after you telling me this I am glad that I was able to capture it.
I shall at your comment into the description.

That’s what I meant Larry – your perspective is better, the building looks more solid. love it. I saw it deconstructed on Youtube, you might find it but if you can’t I will send you the link.

  • Please do.
    I would appreciate it.

If you look down the first alleyway the photographer passes in Lichfield Street you will see “Life is Beautiful” written on the wall. That is the entrance to my “Off Street Plaza” photo; I suppose that is not looking too well either.
