This Chicory Kiln which was built in 1885 is on the side of the road within the city limits of Bacchus Marsh in Central Victoria.

I live at Riddells Creek in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria, and have been involved in Horticulture all my life.
I play Blues Harmonica and Bodhran’ in my spare time, as well as getting involved with Genealogy and Medieval History,
I have also been acting for 40 years and was lucky to be cast as a judge in the movie “Stricly Ballroon”…
But my camera is my passion.

I do like your touch & tweak – very nice finish:-))

  • It’s hard to know when it’s right.
So I always stop when I get to the point of liking it myself.
Sometimes that little bit extra can spoil it….?
    Thanks Jules.

I wonder why it has advertising painted on the side. It looks like modern paint. Is it for a film set like the painting at Abbotsford Convent I wonder?

  • It’s not new paint but very old.
I noticed that myself when I was there.
