This weekend in Australia was the Anniversary of the first controlled, powered flight of an airplane in Australia, at Digger’s Rest in Victoria ( 18 March 1910 ) and was achieved by Harry Houdini who was visiting Australia from the USA This location is only a 15 minute drive from where I live, so I went along to the Melton Airfield here in Central Victoria for some wonderful scene’s. This is an ongoing set of images from that Festival of Flight. Click here if you would like to read about this Historical event.
