Another macro in the Canary Island Palm Tree series.. This branch had been cut from the tree along the banks of the Merri Creek in Coburg, nth of Melbourne, and was laying on the ground.
What you see is the matting on the end of the frond.
The sheen is the light being reflected off the surface of the matting…
