This is the matting that is found on and around the branch of a Canary Island Palm Tree. The branch had been laying on the ground overnight after the frond had been removed. The bright colouring on the bottom end is where it came into contact with the actual stem of the frond.. Best viewed enlarged by clicking on image ( no extra colour has been added )
taken with a p&s Panasonic Lumix FZ30 and is set on Manual Macro. Also x2 images for hdr with Picasa3 as Post Op.
