Offering History from Butser by

If you are interested in Archaeology and Medieval History like I am, this is right up your alley.
Every minute that I spent in this place was a transportation back to that time in history.
This is a thatched Round House that was the main living area of that period.
The Butser Ancient Farm which is a trip back in time, is situated about 4 miles south of Petersfield in Hampshire. England.

I live at Riddells Creek in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria, and have been involved in Horticulture all my life.
I play Blues Harmonica and Bodhran’ in my spare time, as well as getting involved with Genealogy and Medieval History,
I have also been acting for 40 years and was lucky to be cast as a judge in the movie “Stricly Ballroon”…
But my camera is my passion.

This is beautiful Larry! Love those old thatched roofs…we have some here in Switzerland as well and it always attract me a lot…amazing how they was made! It protect you from the rain and the sun :)) and looks soo nice..
    Great capture and treatment!

  • Thank you sweet Rosy.
You may like to go and Photograph the thatched building where you live, as there is a great number of people like myself who admire them and also collect images of them as well.
I have sold at least 3 images of thatched houses.
So there is a market out there for them.
