Gold Hill is in the town of Shaftsbury.
And don’t I miss it……..

I live at Riddells Creek in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria, and have been involved in Horticulture all my life.
I play Blues Harmonica and Bodhran’ in my spare time, as well as getting involved with Genealogy and Medieval History,
I have also been acting for 40 years and was lucky to be cast as a judge in the movie “Stricly Ballroon”…

    Wow Larry, thanks for uploading it for me and for the link. It is a beautiful scene and the Dorset countryside is glorious. I’m so looking forward to going back there soon. Don’t think I could walk up and down that hill every day though. lol

    Oh wow Larry a great shot – I can see the little old man riding his bread bike up the hill with the Hovis in the basket on the front of it and screaming out loud on his way back down again. Whooooooo Hooooooooo or perhaps it would be; Sshhiitttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt. LOL

    Ha Ha….
    When I was growing up in the early 50’s, I can remember we had no refrigeration, just the ice chest.
    And every day you had the ice man coming down the street selling blocks of ice.
    And also, once a week you would have the man selling freshly killed rabbits, yelling out Rabbitoooooooo Rabbitoooooooo.
    Those were the days my friend…..
