A Part of Rivendell by

This was in around Kaitoke in New Zealands North Island.
We turned onto a dirt road east of Paraparaumu, and kept on travelling, until we could go no further, as there was a landslide and the road gave way.
What you see, was what was before us.
This was part of the location for Rivendell in the movie “Lord of the Rings”.
Just one of the many locations we visited, on a return trip to the Land of the Big White Cloud.
