This century-old steam train “Puffing Billy” is still running on its original mountain track from Belgrave to Gembrook in the scenic Dandenong Ranges of Victoria in Australia, and is a genuine relic of more leisurely days.
I snapped this one, just as Puffing Billy was pulling into the station at Lakeside.
Mum’s, Dad,s, Children, Grandparents, everyone was hanging ot of the windows.
This is a must do, for anyone visiting Melbourne….

Taken with a Panasonic Lumix FZ30….

I like the ‘get out of my way’ look, and the steam just makes this a great photo

  • Thanks Doug. Much appreciated.
In actual fact, this train only goes at a very slow pace, as it has all the kids with there legs hanging out over the side.
It’s a very big tourist attraction here in Victoria, and the children love it.

Nice. I like mist and a bit of help from the smoke is never a bad thing. Definately looks great.

  • Thanks Smithy.
