Giving a family a chance.
For those who live in Victoria Australia…...
==================
I am now offering my spare room with a double bed to someone who is a victim of the fires…...
This may change my way of life for a short time, but it’s the least I can do, to try and help those who are in need.
I do not want to have everyone responding to this entry, as I am not looking for glorification….??
What I would like, is that, give it some serious thought, and if you have a spare room, and enough money in the bank to survive on, then open your hearts and your wallet, and give these people a second chance.
I am, and I will.
It’s only a small amount of space and only a small amount of money, when you consider that these survivor’s don’t have anything.
May God bless you if you do what I suggest.
But if you can’t., then may God bless you anyway for reading this and at least thinking about it…......
Ring 1800 006 468 and just be patient for someone to answer, as they are very busy.

Larry, you have a beautiful heart! God bless you for your offer of help!
Hopefully word will get around RB, but would you like me to send a group Bmail so that at least the members of ABRF will know?
Larry Davis replied
Beth, I would love you to.
At this time, with towns being wiped off the map ( the latest being Flowerdale ) people out their are screaming for help.
The more people that seriously think about this the better.
And thank you again.

Larry, there is a number to call, 1800 006 468 to donate spare rooms. It’s been set up by the Housing Minister, Richard Wynne. We have been talking about doing this at our home.
Larry Davis replied
Thanks Jane…
That’s the number I rang to let them know that we were available.
They said that we will be contacted within the next 24 hours.

Larry, you are a champ mate!
Larry Davis replied
It’s the least that we can do.
We have to help our fellow men and women, otherwise we are not doing what we were put here to do.
And besides, who will look after the next generation, if we don’t ?
They need our help NOW….....

Great, good on you Larry!!
Meanwhile, we have decided that as a family we all agree to put up two rooms, Aleah is giving up her bedroom to bunk in with her sister and we have a spare. We used to share a house with seven others in New Zealand so we will manage two or three extra peeps this time, no worries!
Jane Keats
PS, thank you so much for giving us the extra push, very much appreciated!! xxxx
Larry Davis replied
Your welcome, my dear,dear friend.
It is a joy to have met you.
Di Jenkins
We put up a couple of families from Healesville last night who evacuated the Chum Creek area. It was great being able to give them a place to sleep that was “safe” for the night. These people haven’t slept in days for fear of ember attack, and have been on their rooftops checking every night until it became too dangerous to stay. We’re remaining vigilant on this side of the valley too … it’s far from over! I just want to commend you Larry ~ It’s wonderful what you’re doing!
Larry Davis replied
Thanks Di, but I feel that we are all in this for the long haul.
So we MUST pull together.
It has only been about 10 hours since I notified them.
I haven’t heard back from anybody yet, so maybe today.
Marilyn Harris

Larry Davis replied
Thanks mate…Your a star.

Larry Davis replied
Thank you so much Pat.
And we love you guys over there as well.

A most beautiful gift and offering dear brother ;) xoxox
Larry Davis replied
Thank you my sweet.
As I said to Di, we are all in this for the long haul
So I am just doing my bit. Whatever that may be.??
stephaniek
Good for you Larry!!! Maybe you can go to an evacuation center and grab a family there.
Larry Davis replied
I could do that, but they don’t want people all over the place, so I now have to just wait and see.
stephaniek
So true you are!! Such a tragic event for you all….......
Wendy Slee
You are so true….... a true compassionate soul….
I wish you all the best, if I lived closer I too would have my door open also…..... but we have just arrived home in the west after seeing all this horror unfolding in your home state…....and I now am haunted as I wonder what I can do to help…...like you, I have posted all my work for sale with proceeds going to the appeal…....(tonight just signed up as a volunteer fire fighter….)
Larry Davis replied
My heartfelt warmest wishes to you Sunshine.
With all that is going on in your life and has done for so many years, you still find it in your heart to do this.
I am beside myself.
You my friend should be given a medal.
Luv ya girl.

you know Larry if I lived down by you I would offer our house for sure … best I can do is urge your fellow Australians to open their hearts and homes to those who suffered so much and to urge everyone else to do all they can to spread the word and open their heart and pocket books to help (smile) ... you and Dawn have big hearts Larry (big smile)
Larry Davis replied
Thank you my sister.
We can only be directed by our hearts and feelings.
I just hope that I can help someone who needs it.
Time will tell…......( and judge us all )
