This is a dedication to my two hero’s, Olegus Truchanas and Peter Dombrovskis.
These two great photographers gave up their lives for photography whilst photographing the Tasmanian Wilderness.
If anyone of you wants to learn more, then try and get the DVD titled " Wildness " which was released in 2003 by Film Australia. So it will probably be available at the ABC shops.
It was Peter’s photograph that helped bring a halt to the daming of the Franklin River with his photo of the Franklin’s Rock Island Bend, and it was Olegus who tried to stop the drowning of Lake Pedder with his photo’s, but lost.
Anyone with an ounce of creativity in photography of any description, should try and have this DVD in their library…… It will amaze you.
Long live the memories of these two great photographers, and I hope someday, that I can take one tenth of what they created.
I can’t wait to get back to Tassie.

I hope you can appreciate these two wonderful men, as much as I do..
And what they had to overcome in this new country of theirs, and then have to go through what they did to achieve the accolade that they truly deserve, and have achieved….!!
