Turpin Falls (2)

Turpin Falls (2)

This is Turpin Falls, which is located North East of Kyneton in Central Victoria. It’s a big open crater with steps leading down to the bottom, but is one of the most forgotten spots around here, and hardly anyone knows about it.
Really worth a visit.

someone has been out and about, some last shots before your big trip :)
you’ve captured the flow really well Larry with the quicker shutter speed, I can almost feel the spray coming off the rocks. I’m sure Dawn would love this one :

Oh Larry, that’s my old haunt, I used to jump off there on the weekends with my friends – don’t tell too many people where they are!! One of the best things about going there was that not too many people knew where they were :o)

By the way, that is an incredible photo of Turpin’s, it looks just as beautiful as the last time I was there!

  • Larry Davis replied

Except now there are proper steps leading down to the water, and there is a carpark at the top,
And what about the cascades further up the Coliban River.
Slidding over all those wet rocks, and landing in a big water filled hole.
I love it around that part of the country.
