My art is influenced by my training as a mathematician and inspired by my sister’s patchwork.
Using the computer I create collages of numerous photos to interpret the details and landscape of Argyll, Scotland.
My tree portraits are a solution to the problem of capturing on camera the magic of standing under a tree and looking up at the pattern of branches and leaves against the light. This idea has spread to include buildings and bridges.
I love photographing geometric shapes and wild flowers. They naturally form pleasing patchworks, giving a different interpretation of my surroundings.
My family enjoy making. I hope you enjoy the cards of photographs of the chaps and bears made by my mother, my sister, my daughter and myself.
