I live with my sweetheart and a menagerie of pets in an old 1880’s miners cottage perched overlooking Burra.

I’m currently pursuing the redevelopment of my artistic and design skills. I’ve tended to be more design minded which can be quite limiting in artistic freedom. So I’m slowly training myself to regain a more free artistic style which I had prior to study. It’s a bit of a tough thing fighting the strict design philosophy that the University drummed into me when I trained as an industrial designer.

I’m a self taught CGI designer/artist. Many years ago I started out using a program called Infini-D for the Mac which was later merged with RayDream Studio to make Carrara. I moved to Maya for the Mac. It was a sharp transition and rendered my Infini-D resources redundant so I basically had to start from scratch.

I’m a trained bone carver. I was taught in New Zealand by exceptional carvers Len and Candy Kay of Pacific Carvers. I’ve just setup a new bone carving studio in Burra and working to sell some through an Etsy online store.

I endeavour to pursue other artistic mediums later on. What they will be is undetermined currently.
