Artist's Description

Oxyrhopus petola, the False Coral is a snake found in northern South America and Trinidad and Tobago. The species is rear-fanged and its saliva is extremely toxic to Anolis lizards. They feed on lizards, frogs, small rodents, birds and probably other snakes.
