I took this photograph on July 5, 2011, in Eagle Lake, Maine, USA. The mother Robin was perched on a nearby tree limb. I love the color of the unopened eyes, the wisp of feathery hair on its head, and the yolk still on its neck!

This so So very beautiful! I see the fragile beginning of a life and the depth of the age old question as to what came first; the egg or the chicken. Here I see the magnificence of life as one! What a lovely capture… just gorgeous!

  • Thank you, Betty!
