It is the sixth painting amongst my most recent series of paintings about Lake Mungo in Mungo National Park – New South Wales.
The same principles and ideas are applied here as far as representing the form of the landscape and the light that it soaks in. The only difference is that here, the high pillars of sand are represented in tones of white instead of – before that work – always using earthy colours. They move forward a bit more, but still slightly behind the little round blue rocks located at their base.
