And Then There Were Three
Last one from yesterdays shoot. I wanted to capture some shelf ice on Lake Michigan as it was completely frozen over as far as the eye could see. But just couldn’t find a good angle my shadow kept getting in the way LOL. So I found these trees to be so pretty amongst the beautiful dune grass and fresh fallen snow. So I worked this area for about an hour taking pictures on one tree two tree three trees different angles ect LOL.
A landscape view of Its A Beautiful Winter’s Day. Not sure about the comp as my eyes are kind of all over the place but I think its a pretty picture though.
Taken along the shore line of Lake Michigan, Northwest Indiana Jan of 2009.
Nikon D80 Sigma 10-20mm F10 1/320s 10mm.
Thanks for looking.

Curtiss!!!!! What an extraordinary feeling of MOVEMENT in this image!!!!!!! I feel like I’m sliding – skimming along the surface of the snow toward these lovely bare trees!!!!!! Gorgeous colors, details … composition!!! Please put your concerns about composition at rest … the clouds pull our eyes right into this baby!!!! But all technical stuff aside, it’s that indefinable something that we all yearn to re create that really sets this one apart!!!!!!!!

The greeks believed that three gives balance – e.g i think the term is triadic but i could be mistaken lol! Anyway, this is more powerful and appealing to me because of the three trees:)
