An instructor for the University of Phoenix, both at the local campus here in Lafayette and for the university’s worldwide online program, I also serve as an editorial consultant for area individuals and businesses.

However, my passion is writing, and I received the annual award for fiction at the 2003 Acadiana Writers Conference in Lafayette; I was also named Author of the Month for May 2006 by South Lit, a journal of contemporary Southern literature; and my stories have appeared in a variety of journals, including Santa Fe Writers Project Literary Journal, Toasted Cheese, Zine5, The Remington Review, Horseman Magazine, The Mariner, The Phoenix, The New Review, The Eclectic, and The Sun.

As of January 17, 2008, my first novel, Mustang Summer: A Novel, became available through Publish America (the publisher) as well as Barnes & Noble, Amazon Books, and other major booksellers, both nationally and internationally. I have also completed my second novel, Objects Are Closer Than They Appear; and I am hard at work on my third, An Eye for An Eye. In addition, I wrote a serialized novel, Remembering Della, which is available at Zine5, an online literary journal.
